Glenn’s experience in power system modelling and economics spans 15 years. He was involved in the design of the New Zealand, Australian and Singapore power markets, in particular the energy-ancillary services co-optimisation. Glenn started Drayton Analytics (now called Energy Exemplar) in 1999 to produce a next-generation power market model based entirely on optimisation, the result being PLEXOS for Power Systems® (PLEXOS). Glenn obtained his B.Sc.(Hons) in Operations Research, and Ph.D. in Management Science from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. Glenn manages the development team for PLEXOS in the Adelaide, Australia office. He specialises in mathematical optimisation applied to power system planning.

Louise heads the administration, accounts and legal functions for Energy Exemplar. Louise’s Business Management experience spans 11 years. She started Drayton Analytics (now called Energy Exemplar) in 1999 where PLEXOS for Power Systems was originally developed and released into the public arena. Having an entrepreneurial background and strong commercial acumen, Louise provides business development direction and strategy in Energy Exemplar.

Eric is responsible for directing consulting assignments and the sales, implementation, and support of the PLEXOS software. Eric has 30 years experience in the electric energy industry working for both utilities and consulting companies in the areas of resource planning and simulation software. Prior to his work at Energy Exemplar, Eric was CEO of PLEXOS Solutions LLC, an independent consultant at the CAISO, a senior vice president at leading software / consulting company, and manager of system planning at SMUD. Eric has a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from BYU and a MBA from University of Washington.
Kavi Singh Ph.D.

Based in London, Kavi manages the European sales, marketing, consulting, training, technical support and client relationships. He has 4 years experience in operations and risk management for a power generator, trader and retailer, and 5 years analytics experience in power distribution. Kavi obtained his B.E.(Hons) in Engineering Science, and Ph.D. in Operations Research from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is a specialist in mathematical programming and optimisation (Mixed Integer), stochastic modelling and long-term investment planning.

Frank manages the Asia Pacific/Africa & South America sales, marketing, consulting, training, technical support and client relationships. He is also involved with software documentation design, prototyping of algorithms and liaising with the development team on customer requirements. Frank has over 8 years experience comprising an Electricity Market Consultant for CDEC-SING in Chile, a Research & Development Academic in the University of Chile, and involvement in implementation, training and exhibition of PLEXOS solutions in Europe and South America. Frank obtained his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Simon Bolivar, Venezuela, and M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, from the University of Chile, Santiago, Chile. His expertise is in Operations Research and Power Market analysis and design.
Tao Guo Ph.D.

Dr. Guo is responsible for technical services including software implementation, training, user support, and consulting. Tao has a strong theoretical and technical background and more than 25 years working experience in power system planning and operations. Dr. Guo’s expertise includes: (a) unit commitment and economic dispatch using dynamic programming, Lagrangian Relaxation, and Mixed Integer Programming; (b) multiple commodity co-optimization in deregulated energy markets; (c) hydrothermal coordination; (d) stochastic simulation and Locational Market Price (LMP) forecasts. Tao has a Ph.D. in Power System Planning, Operation and Control from the University of Michigan. He received Master of Engineering in Power System Planning, Operation and Control from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan,China.

Dr. Huang is responsible for consulting projects, supporting clients, providing training and implementation. Dr. Huang has more than 20 years of experience in developing simulation/optimization software to solve complicated problems in electric energy industry. Dr. Huang was the Product Manager for Analytics for a leading software company and was was responsible for software solutions that cover Market Analytics, Planning and Risk, and Maintenance Scheduling. Dr. Huang received MS and Ph.D. in System engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 1990 and 1992 respectively. He completed MBA from University of California at Davis in March 2006.

Rob Bremault, P.Eng., MBA, is a senior sales and account manager with Energy Exemplar LLC. He is responsible for all sales and marketing in North America of PLEXOS’ software tools, datasets and information services. His clients include utilities and transmission organizations, energy marketers, investment banks’ commodity traders in forecasting energy prices and integrated resource planning for renewables. His background includes employment with ATCO Utilities (Alberta Power) and SMUD (19 years) in rates, customer strategy and key account management; American Water in rates and regulatory affairs; and Siebel Systems in CRM software sales. He has testified before California and Alberta commissions on energy matters, has a B.Sc. from the University of Alberta, is a professional engineer and has an MBA from the University of California, Davis.
Ryan Hoppe

Mr. Hoppe serves as an Information Services Director for Energy Exemplar LLC. In this position, Ryan is responsible for the weccterm.com product and its daily price forecasts. Ryan is the primary designer of this service and is responsible for all data development, analytics, and price review. Prior to his employment with Energy Exemplar LLC, Ryan served in a similar position at PowerLytix, a leading information services that was purchased by one of its clients. Ryan has over 8 years of experience forecasting hub prices in the WECC and elsewhere in North America.

David is a key developer for the PLEXOS product, with a deep understanding of the technical and mathematical underpinnings of the engine. He has been working for Energy Exemplar (previously Drayton Analytics) since 2004. Prior to joining Energy Exemplar he worked, as a software engineer, developing real time monitoring, scheduling and optimization software for Sony. He also has experience developing software for the manufacturing, financial and entertainment sectors. He obtained his B.Sc.(Hons) in Information Technology from the University of Glamorgan, UK.
