The Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) is Thailand's main organization for securing reliable power.  EGAT's principal mission is the generation, acquisition and sale of electricity.  The organization falls under the supervision of Thailand's Ministry of Energy and Ministry of Finance.

EGAT selected PLEXOS to develop its Grid Modernization Plan.  Partnering with Energy Exemplar and utilizing PLEXOS is allowing EGAT to accommodate for upcoming disruptive technologies, and to ensure resource adequacy as these non-traditional resources are integrated into the grid.
