Company Merger Fulfills Needs of New Customers

Salt Lake City, Utah – April 23, 2019 – At the end of the first full year after the merger of two competing industry leaders, the combination of EPIS, LLC and Energy Exemplar Pty Ltd (www.energyexemplar.com) through the private equity firm The Riverside Company (www.riversidecompany.com.au) exceeded investor and customer expectations.

While PE investments typically lead to operational expense cuts and reorganization of staff, 2018 instead saw 25 percent growth in number of employees, including significant investment in senior software developers and customer support staff.

“With the increasing complexity and uncertainty in our industry, come increasing demands upon our customers to produce insights for decision-makers,” said Ben Thompson, Senior Vice President. “We’ve increased our support availability to 24-hours per day and are adding new functionality to our software at faster pace than ever before. This ability to focus on customer needs played a significant role in the momentum of success we’ve had earning new clients.”

The year culminated in the on-boarding of six large clients including Siemens Energy, Chevron, KPMG, AWEA and Orsted. “The diversity of these clients, and how they use modelling to make decisions in their organizations, demonstrates how robust our platforms have become. The capabilities of our development and support teams have expanded to fulfill these unmet needs,” Thompson reported.
