Jacobs: Optimising the design of an integrated solar/BESS plant using PLEXOS
Paul Nidras
Principal Consultant, Jacobs
Room: Ballroom
PLEXOS was used to model a proposed integrated solar/BESS power plant that would export its energy to an Asian market. The design of the plant was constrained by stringent performance standards requiring constant energy output to be sustained for each trading interval. Using PLEXOS we were able to minimise the size of the BESS for maximum delivery of solar output.
