Humanising Energy, a branded series presented by the World Energy Council and including three films produced for us by BBC StoryWorks, brings together inspiring stories from around the world - from harnessing geothermal power in New Zealand to pioneering hydrogen aviation technology in Europe to better understand the future with advanced energy modelling... And that's where we come in!

Join us on the slopes of Salt Lake City with Energy Exemplar’s CEO David Wilson, as he takes us on a journey through the world of energy planning and operations. We learn what PLEXOS® is and how it helps to solve complex challenges such as balancing renewables, grid reliability, and decarbonisation. 

We also travel to Ireland to meet academic Dr. Paul Deane of University College Cork. Paul shines a spotlight on bridging research and real-world energy planning and how PLEXOS helps energy stakeholders to better understand the future.

Join Tracey Granger, Energy Exemplar’s Head of Data, on Mersea Island, UK, as we dive into this ecosystem and uncover how creating models and running future scenarios is shaping smarter, more resilient energy decisions for its diverse stakeholders. 

We also head over to ElectroRoute in Ireland, where Brian Larkin demonstrates how modelling in PLEXOS supports renewable energy traders.

Ajita Mishra, Senior Product Manager at Energy Exemplar had seen enough - her beloved home in India was suffering the effects of climate change, and she needed to do something. She tells us her story and we learn from COO Prajval Parthasarathy why accelerating the energy transition in India is crucial, not just for the country but for the entire world.

The good news is that change is happening - fast. The key? Advanced modelling technology, education and training.

We also get to see one of India’s leading renewable energy providers, ReNew, in action at their solar park Solapur and hear how they are using PLEXOS to simulate market scenarios and refine energy strategies.
